This deliciously-fragranced Pumpkin Pie candle features the image of Saint Gianna Molla, the first canonized woman physician; a working mom who gave her life to save her unborn baby. It includes a collector's card featuring the beautiful story of Saint Gianna's brave and unselfish act of love, as well as a special prayer to her. This candle burns for approximately 120 hours and contains a 100% lead-free wick. Made in America, of American-grown soy wax.

Excerpt from keepsake card: "During her fourth pregnancy in 1961, while in the second month, doctors discovered that a cancer had grown in Gianna’s womb. The doctor caring for Gianna was very clear to both her and Pietro that to save her life the pregnancy must be ended. A clear and prompt response from Gianna was “Professor, I’ll never permit this! It is a sin to kill babies in the womb.” A riskier plan was accepted, involving surgery that only removed the tumor and not the uterus thereby allowing the baby to survive. The fact that she was a surgeon made it was very clear to her that the decision to protect the baby put her own life in great peril. During the balance of her pregnancy she stayed busy with her family and work while constantly praying. Prior to the birth Gianna informed her doctors, “If you must decide between me and the child, do not hesitate; choose the child. I insist on it. Save the baby.”
